Overview
Just a Dream is a visual novel dating sim for players who like slow-burn mystery mixed with romance. It leans quiet and unsettling rather than upbeat.
Story
A newly assigned assistant teacher at a peaceful all-girls school starts to notice that everyday routine doesn't hold together. Familiar faces feel wrong, memories don't line up, and a persistent sense of deja vu points to something buried beneath the surface. The story follows his attempt to work out what's real, what's a dream, and what he may have already lived through before.
Gameplay
Play unfolds through dialogue and choices as the protagonist moves through school days, talking with students and colleagues while small inconsistencies build up. Decisions shape which characters open up to him and how much of the underlying mystery he uncovers, with the school setting acting as a steady backdrop to a story that keeps shifting under him.

DLC Kanna Silence:
- This story is a quiet and personal prologue. Its beginning is not designed to be as impactful as the main game's opening in Just a Dream. Consider this a deeper introduction to the DLC's main character Kanna Matsumoto, before her story becomes entangled with the larger mystery. When the annual school sports festival is announced her energetic friends, Tamao and Hana, urge her to join the relay race team. This forces Kanna to confront her deepest fear, performing in public and being judged by everyone. The story is an intimate character study focusing on Kanna's struggle with anxiety and the pressure of expectations, all while strange occurrences begin to foreshadow the events of the main game.
