Overview
Best Friends is a 3D visual novel for players who want a story-driven adult drama rather than heavy gameplay. Its tone stays personal and grounded, following two friends through a turning point in their lives.
Story
Two lifelong friends from Newcastle finish school and prepare to head off to university together. One of them has been hiding something significant from the other, and as the truth starts to surface, it puts their friendship to the test. The story follows how that secret changes things between them and everyone around them.
Gameplay
This is a kinetic-style visual novel with light interaction, built around reading through events rather than managing systems. Players can follow the story from either friend's point of view, seeing the same unfolding situation through two different sets of eyes.
Features
- Animated 3D scenes throughout, rather than static images
- Dual-perspective storytelling that lets players revisit events from the other friend's side
- Adult themes woven directly into the plot, including infidelity and complicated relationships between the cast
Installation
1. Extract and run.
